This past spring the South Haven Athletics Office was contacted by a company out of St. Joe called Friday Football Tailgate about having our homecoming date with Watervliet be one of their featured games for the 2024 season, this opportunity has now come to fruition. The company produces a College Gameday-style pregame show which we believe will bring a lot of positive attention to South Haven High School and be a unique experience for our players, coaches, student body, fans, and our little Rams.
In order to allow our fans to become part of this experience, we have to deviate from our normal Homecoming activities. Unfortunately, there will not be room for a parade this year by moving in this direction and, instead, Ratcliffe Field will be the focus of this year’s pregame festivities. On that day we will be setting aside the area in the Southeast corner of the property, inside the overflow gate and south of visiting bleachers, as a student tailgate area. Student tailgating will begin at 4: 00 pm and the pregame show will run from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. South Haven students of all ages are invited to enjoy the atmosphere and take in the show. Following its completion, we will open up the tailgating area to outside groups to promote a carnival atmosphere.

Don't miss this week's Summer Book Club pick up (July 1st - 5th)! Due to the holiday, pick up times have been altered. There are three ways to get this week's books.

This Saturday (9/23) is one of two dates where the Little Lady Rams Basketball and Rocket Football Programs overlap at Baseline Middle School. This overlap will undoubtedly make for a busy couple hours at the school. We ask that parents and fans please park in approved areas, respect other drivers, and that if extra space is needed, that we use North Shore Elementary as overflow parking. Thanks and Go Rams!
JV Football — Due to concerns about the heat, the start time for tonight’s JV football game (8/23) at Dowagiac has been pushed back to 7:30 pm. Athletes and parents should check their email for more information.
As you know, for the past two years, South Haven Public Schools along with many other districts across the county, state, and nationally, have been impacted by a bus driver shortage. With the generous assistance of our school families volunteering to transport student athletes to competitions this year, our kids have enjoyed great athletic experiences. We are truly grateful to our dedicated parents/guardians and coaches for coming together to support our students in this way and ask that we continue to utilize the systems we’ve put in place going into the 2023-24 school year.
If you have a middle or high school student participating in athletics and are willing to transport kids to and from competitions, etc., please take a moment to fill out the Volunteer Form. This is a required form to drive students and generates a simple background check to further ensure safety. As the new school year approaches, FinalForms has now rolled over to the upcoming 23-24 athletic year and participants must update their information. All returning athletes and parents MUST log in to update their forms using their existing username and password. In most cases this simply means verifying your existing information. Please note - The tennis courts will be closed for resurfacing beginning Tuesday, May 30th. The maintenance is anticipated to take two weeks. The district will notify the community when the courts are available to the public again. Thank you for your patience!

As many of you know, with the 2022-23 school year beginning before Labor Day this year, our traditional graduation date fell on Memorial Day Weekend. This allowed the district to survey stakeholders and select a new date - May 19, 2023. Since that announcement was made, the regional track meet location, date, and time were set by this year’s host, Berrien Springs. Unfortunately, the meet has also been scheduled for May 19th. Instead of putting our senior athletes in a position of deciding between running in the finals and their graduation date, we have been forced to shift our graduation ceremony. It will now take place at Ratcliffe Field on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM. We thank you for your flexibility and eagerness to celebrate the Class of 2023 with us this spring.

Friday's Winterfest Basketball Games are ON today despite the snow day. JV boys begin the action at 4:30 pm, followed by JV girls as 6:00 pm and varsity boys at 7:30 pm.
Spring sports are a little over a month away!! HS spring sports begin practice on Monday, March 13. School-sponsored MS sports sports begin on Wednesday, March 22.

This Friday, February 3, there will be a couple of notable events going on at the basketball games hosted by South Haven High School. The girls will play at 5:30 and the boys at 7:00 pm.
Immediately before the boys varsity game we will be dedicating our new scorer's table to longtime South Haven Coach Vince Bowman.
We would like to invite all Lil Ram's Players to the games. Every Lil Ram's that wears his or her shirt will get in FREE and take a PICTURE with all RAMS at halftime of the varsity boys game.
The South Haven Pep Band will be playing at both the boys and girls games this Friday.
Following the boys varsity game there will be an alumni game at approximately 9:00 pm. The game will be broadcast on the NFHS Network, and admission will be included in the price of a regular ticket.
Hopefully this will be a fun night for everyone involved. Come out and cheer on the Rams at SHHS.
Despite a snow day for both schools, tonight's JV and varsity boys basketball games at Allegan are set to be played as scheduled.
February 4th will be the 9th annual Break the Ice 5K!! This is an annual event run during Ice Breaker Weekend that raises money for the middle & high school cross country teams.
